We’re making a return visit to Darsham Country Centre - a beautiful rural retreat nestled in the heart of Suffolk. We will have exclusive use of the self-catering kitchen, comfortable living and dining areas, and private garden. Outings include visits to The Food Museum where there are 17 historic buildings, a farm, watermill and animals to see; a boat trip exploring an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the river Alde; the Long Shop Museum where the original 18th‑century factory site is preserved with full‑size steam engines, and lastly, the Tide Mill in Woodbridge.

We’ll have an evening meal at the local Kings Head in Yoxford and lunch on the way home at Snape Maltings. A full itinerary will be provided.

Refreshments: All meals are included except for a packed lunch on Day 1. Please bring cash/payment card for drinks, snacks and souvenirs.

Our first stop will be to Stonham Barns retail village to browse the shops and do some last minute Christmas shopping. We’ll then enjoy Christmas Dinner with all the trimmings at Cafe 24.

Next stop is to Helmingham Hall to wander through the historic gardens transformed by a spectacular display of light, colour, and sound. The guided trail takes you across the historic drawbridge, through glowing walkways, and past flickering fire pits perfect for toasting marshmallows. Enjoy festive street food and drink, browse for unique gifts in the Stable Shops, and warm up with a complimentary mulled wine.

Presented in a cabaret-style format, with a live band, this joyful evening promises something for everyone—from toe-tapping musical numbers and hilarious skits to solos, duets, and even a tap dance. The show features a potted panto and maybe even a little ‘Slice of Saturday Night’. Expect laughter, sparkle, and plenty of seasonal cheer.
